Tri-boro sportsmen club / northampton, pa
09/28/13
Arriving around 2, the riders were well on their way to completing the 75 mile course. This actually worked out very good. With a smaller crowd, I could get better photos. I had to stick around and catch at least a few riders coming in.
Even though this rarely works, I try to give benefits a top priority. Today, Tri-Boro was my first stop. The benefit was for Diabetes. Arriving, I stopped by the registration table. Not to ride, but find out how the turnout was. 55 bikes were registered this morning with a total of 75 by 2. Not bad for a weekend packed with other events.
I did the usual, walk around a little bit and take some photos. There were a variety of vendors here including an animal rescue and Pampered Chef. 5 Ton Jack was the first band on stage. The drummer could not be there so they went acoustic. Not too bad!!! That Being Said and Handal were going to take the stage later.
Thankfully, nature gave a beautiful fall day for this one. Brown leaves on the ground. Temps around 80 with a slight breeze added to the relaxed and laid back feel here. The Lehigh River added a peaceful calm to it.
Unfortunately, I had to take off before the other bands and 2nd half of events kicked off. From what I was told, everything was going on until 8.
The event appeared to go very well. With people having a good time. Food was there for all riders and people who registered. Eating before I left, I did not ask if anyone could just buy a hot dog.
This is an annual event and will take place in 2014.4
