Easton, pa
Ok, maybe I over did it this time. Like always, I want to you to feel like you were there. All the video clips are from walking around. Going off a post on Facebook, estimated 17,000 people showed up. It started at 9 / ended at 4.
I took the bus over and glad I did. They had the circle / square blocked off 2 streets prior in every direction. Walking towards the festival, first reaction: "Yeah, it's a festival in Easton!" The amount of people I saw made the vehicle traffic look like a dead Sunday night. Someone told me people were parking across the river in Phillipsburg and walking over. Not a long walk, but still.
When I walked into the circle, talk about traffic jams!!!! Glad I was not hungry. Lines for food at almost every stand were around 1/2 hr. Doing the usual, I walked around for a while to get the layout and feel. Overall, everyone was having a good time with no problems. Yes, alcohol was available. People were more focused on the large varieties of Bacon vs. drinking. I think the weather had a factor in their choice. It was a typical, November, cold day. Coffee / hot chocolate was the beverage of choice.
Like I said, maybe I overdid the video. It is the best way you could experience the crowd and everything there. In addition to food / beverages, artists and live music were present. Artist Alley, 1/2 block west of the square was lined with artists of different genres and, at times, packed with people.
I have to hand it to Easton Farmer's Market again! Another great and successful festival.
Curious what they have coming up? Live in the area? Visiting on a weekend?
