Best food in the Lehigh Valley!!!!!
Honestly, I was completely down for 2 days. Could not even go on the laptop or do much of anything. Except try to sleep and not wake up every hour. Reason? Very high fever combined with abscessed. Can not even remember the last time I was laid out like this. With half of Sunday and Monday completely shot, started feeling a little better on Tuesday. I saw Vica's post about Black Forest Deli and Catering being open. With my face still swelled up, did not go to doctor, figured some home made chicken noodle soup was just thing to jump start the immune system.
Normally, I walk to Bethlehem. Due to, at times, torrential (literally), downpours, chose Lanta Bus 102.
I have reviewed Black Forest Deli and Catering in the past. Really had my mind set on the chicken noodle soup. I have said in the past they have the BEST!!!!! food in the Lehigh Valley. I have tried and love the cherry filled pierogies and other items including sandwiches and soups. When I have my mind set on something, I go for it, with few exceptions due to health.
Before you ask / comment, I rarely let anything slow me down much less stop me. In good health and push my body to almost inhuman limitis at times. Figured pushed it too hard the past few weeks and everything caught up to me.
As soon as the soup was set in front of me, the smell alone really stated to revive my appetite. Fever and chills pretty much killed it for 2 days. From the first spoonful, it was pure heaven! A perfect balance of noodles, meat, vegetables and broth. this soup really hit the spot! I already knew Black Forest Deli and Catering has very high standards when it comes to ingredients. I think what really puts everything over the top is the food is made with a true love (no joke), not only of creating food but customers and people.
The soup was followed up with a small hoagie. Talk about jump starting the immune system! I have to mention, I sat down and could immediately relax and temporarily forget about everything I was stressed about.
