Banana Factory / Bethlehem, PA

On the first Friday of every month, this art center is open for everyone to come out and experience a wide variety of art. From 6 - 9 p.m. resident artists / changing exhibits / demonstrations including glass blowing are here.

The Banana Factory is 3 floors. The first has the main exhibits (which do change) / glass blowing / resident artists. The second and third? More artists and a lot of variety in styles and genres.

While you are checking everything out, there is one more important point: interaction. Introduce yourself to the artists. Ask them questions. Before I forget, in the Crayola Gallery, there is live music.

Who would I suggest this one to? Everyone! The timeframe makes it a great way to start your evening / weekend. The family friendly atmosphere is perfect for kids. The location is perfect because of restaurants right around the Banana Factory and it is a short walk / drive from Main St. If you love art or are looking for something different on the first Friday of the month, stop by for a great experience.
