Lehigh Valley Steelhawks
The Steelhawks promised a lot of surprises in their new home, the PPL Center in Allentown. Right here was the first one. Kicking off the 2015 home opener, Knights of Fire Motorcycle Club put on one HELL of a show!!!! Linining up with a gap between, enegines revving, the teams entered the stadium to a standing ovation!!!!!!
After announcing their presence to the stadium and way beyond, usual progression of events here: national anthem / presenting of colors / coin toss / kickoff.
With the Steelhawks getting closer to another touchdown, another suprise! Talon was out in the crowd. Honestly, I think Talon is my favorite part of the organization.

This bird goes out and really knows how to get the crowd into it! Hey, I am 44 and there is not way I am not laughing and smiling when he is around. As you can tell, no matter the age, people really love him.
The half time show almost equaled the entrance! The Precious Metal Dance Team kept a ;arge part of the crowd's attention on the field. Another major surprise!
Now that you have the final score. And an idea of how things started / halftime. Time to wrap this up with my favorite part. Other than Talon, of course. Carrying over from Stabler Arena, after the game....
There was a very long line to go down on the field. Why? Meet / congratulate the team! The organization was on the field for 15 minutes, talking to fans / signing autographs / photos / you get the point!
The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks came into the home opener with a lot to prove. Coming off a loss. First time in Allentown. First game at the new PPL Center. The organization earned every moment. Not only by having a great win. Also by showing the fans how much they are appreciated. Oh, the pregame, outside kicked ass!!!! Another article on that one. Here are all the reasons why you should place the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks on top of your list!!!!! No matter your age. Do not care if you like sports or not. You WILL have a great time!!!!!

Quick budget tip for the PPL Center: If you are on a low / tight budget. Hit the 7 / 11 right across the street. Pizza is highly recommended.
