Definitely better ones out there
Ok, one of the main reasons for the Windows 10 upgrade was to review apps and video games. Like Android and I Store, Windows Store is filled will fun games. Like most people, I like a decent slot machine game to kill time. This is not one of them.
First off, it helps to create / log into an Xbox live account. Already had one due to other Microsoft games. Extra step but no big deal. When you start the game, like most, there is only machine open. As you gain experience, more slots open. Pretty much standard. Heads up, like a lot of games, you can do "in-app" purchases for more virtual coins. No, I do not do that. If I am going to drop money into a game, it is for the complete version. Started playing the first machine, Treasure of the Ancients.
Again, the standard, you gain a few levels quick. With the levels comes bonus coins. There is an occasional tutorial when you have a new feature. Example: mini-game when you hit the required symbol combination. Cool, most people do not need it, not a drawback. One of the few in this game.
Right to the point, this games has animation sequences that are not needed. The developers and a minority of gamers might like it. Myself and most probably do not. I find it very annoying. Example: the second machine, Jackpots are Forever. In the bonus game, you chase a villain. As each character moves, there is cut / animation sequence. Seriously, I really do not care! Just let me know by the dots on top who moves and how far!!!!
You do get bonus coins every day for playing regularly. After playing the 3rd machine, Sweet Riches, went for broke and hit it. The daily bonus does not add up fast enough for me to even play every day. You need a little patience if you bet it all. For a video game, I really do not want it to simulate a real casino. I just want to kill a few minutes off the day.
The above reasons, plus not opening a new machine on every level place Microsoft Jackpot in the serious waste of time category. I am not talking about in a good way at all. Bet bet (forgive the pun), keep going and trying other slot machine games until you find one like. Right after this review goes live, it will be uninstalled. I could not even recommend this one for kids.
