This is a review of Rise from Sand Casino on March 22nd, 2014. Rise rises from Philadelphia, Pa. They are one of the newest bands on the scene. They consist of: George Rogers (Lead Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards), Anthony Gallucio (Guitars, Vocals), Garret Watts (Bass Guitar, Vocals), and Anthony Baker (Drums, Vocals).
This is only a partial review. We did not review they overall sound because there was problems on the venues end the band did try to get the sound guys to fix it by the end it was better. We do not hold technical problems against the band as long as they try to get it fixed.
The band energy was up all night. They did a wonderful job making sure everyone knew who they were though out the night.
The crowd interaction was among the best, when we walked in about half way through the first set lead singer George Rodgers was off stage pouncing around the crowd and both reserved/VIP sections while singing. This was kept up all night. If he was not in the crowd he was leaning over the stage signing to people or pulling people up on stage.
The crowd reaction was great the crowd was up all night singing and dancing along with the band. The dance floor was pretty packed all night long.
They even had a friend named JJ up to perform a couple of songs.
They cover all different types of songs some new stuff like “Blurred Lines” and “Radio Active” to older songs like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”, a Guns and Roses medially and “Pour Some Sugar on Me”.
Feedback we heard from the crowd was that they loved the band and comment about the energy of Rodgers.
We would highly recommend you go catch them if you get a chance especially if you are looking for a night out with a band that brings the energy to the stage and keep it there.
