Social Call Unplugged is an acoustic version of Social Call which is a classic rock band from the Lehigh Valley. This review, the pictures and videos are from their show at Edelweis Haus a bar located in Northampton, Pa on March 17th, 2014.
The Members of Social Call are:
Larry Werner: on Lead Vocals and Guitar,
Shane Stoneback: on Lead Guitar and Vocals,
Joe Cenchitz: on Bass and Vocals,
Jose Matos: on Drums.
The crowd was on the small side this most likely do to the timing which was 7 pm til 10 pm, a Monday night which also happen to be the holiday of St. Patrick's Day.
The crowd that was there however was very in to the band clapping and cheering after most of the songs. The band did a good job on crowd interacting. They addressed several different groups of people by name and asked several times if there was anything anyone wanted to hear. They spent the only set break mingling with most of the people in the crowd.
They did a wonderful job interacting with each other and cracking jokes between each other during song breaks. You could tell that they were having a blast while still making sure the crowd enjoyed it.
In the second set there was a few sets of people up and down dancing there were also numerous amount of people chair dancing to say, Or moving their heads along with the music.
They did introduce the members of the band once and also refereed to each other by names a few times. They did most of the same songs as they do their "plugged-in" fully electric band but with a little bit of a quitter, softer matter as to be able to be done in a smaller venues with smaller acoustics.
Overall we Social Call is a excellent band that we recommenced you get out and see sometime.
