Tweets and Consequences / Mike Schlossberg / Kindle edition
This one really had my curiosity. After taking a very long break from book reviews, Mike Schlossberg is my first victim. To give you a quick idea of my qualifications: Self-published author of 2 books. Over the past 3 years, I have done several book reviews. Interviewed authors and love to read when I can find time.
Like I said, this one really caught my attention. Main reason, Mike Schlossberg is also a state representative. This is his first book and I was really curious about what he really knew about the subject. Due to the $10.49 Kindle price, the review is from a sample. Usually, the samples give you a great idea if the book is worth the read / price. The review is based on the Kindle version on a laptop. The review is done while reading the book sample

Review
The title, Tweets and Consequences, is very attention grabbing. While it may make you slightly laugh, it gives you an idea on how serious this book is. Formatting is great for the Kindle with zero mistakes. I learned e-book formatting the hard way. Table of Contents: While the chapter section titles give you a great idea about each one, I think it is too long already. On the flip side, each one did make me want to jump to that section immediately. Morbid curiosity on some, but the interest was an immediate reaction.
Introduction and opening chapters:
The introduction proves Mr. Schlossberg wrote this book from real life experiences / observations. I did look up a few examples and found them easily. He also states this book is serious but funny at points. A great combination, especially for non-fiction. Right off, section break / Dumb, Dumb, Dumb; I was laughing in the first paragraph!
Overall rating and recommendation:
I have to give Mike Schlossberg a lot of credit here. Even though this is not my favorite genre, it is very interesting to say the least! Mr. Schlossberg does a great job with logical progression and maintaining your interest while providing lessons for everyone to use. The social media mistakes he points out are made by most people. Even though they can be deleted off our accounts, someone always takes notice. The breakdown of mistake / consequence / lesson makes it easy to learn. While reading, I was curious what the next page would say. The book did keep my attention and it is a serious page turner.
The downside: Mike Schlossberg made a rookie mistake in one area: the price. As much as I love the book's sample, the $10.49 Kindle price is way too high. The book would easily be worth it for print. Considering there is zero cost, other than time, to create the e-book format; no chance the value is there. Even long time, major authors and publishing companies know to keep the e-book pricing down. Curious if Mr. Schlossberg will be doing any online promotions.
Recommendation:
Forgetting about the price and focusing on the book, I would recommend this to anyone who uses social media. While Mr. Schlossberg presents examples of politicians and people seriously in the spotlight, they can be applied to anyone. The book kept my attention despite a good movie in the background. I was seriously curious with every page what would come next. Congratulations to Mike Schlossberg for his first venture as an author. You did a great job and found a way to keep me very interested.
