Another place I found by walking around. One of the many I walked past countless times! Located on Union Blvd. near Airport Rd. this one has a nice and appealing outside. Walk in, even if you are not hungry, you will be!!!!!
Inside it is small but to the point. A small "L" shaped counter with 2 glass display counters will have you making hard choices. To the left, you see a variety of custom cakes and baked goods. Straight ahead is the hard part. Cookies of different types and more will get your cravings going real fast. :)
As usual, I spoke with someone for a few moments. Always curious about a place started, my main question. Village Bake Shoppe was started in Catasauqua and evolved out of a house. One thing in the counter caught my attention more than the rest.
Almost paper thin cutout style cookies. One tray had light and the other had dark. I had to find out if the "Legendary" part was even close. I was given a sample. Walking out, I tried it. Reaction? "Oh my God, this is good!" No joke. If this a preview of everything else they offer, I would highly suggest them. Trust me, part of my diet is baked goods / sugar / etc.
With an exterior that grabbed my curiosity, walking in satisfied it. Combine all this with a variety of baked goods there and what you can order, might place Village Bake Shoppe on your list of places to check out. Especially if you have a party or event coming up.
