Maingate Nightclub / Allentown, PA 05-31-14
After the event being cancelled and then revived, the music lineup was great! Local bands and even Denim and Leather (stopping by from Europe) were there to help stop breast cancer. I arrived around 2 and pretty much stayed until the end. The event was great. Music loud inside the Maingate. Nature gave a beautiful day and everyone pretty much hung outside.
Honestly, the only thing that really surprised me? The turnout was lower than I expected. Figuring, ok, during the day it would be low. With the band lineup and Denim and Leather, I expected Maingate to be almost packed and easily over 300 - 400 people. There are several factors that could have contributed: nice weather / several other events (welcome to spring / summer in the Lehigh Valley) / cancellation and restart of the event. A few people told me We Rock will be evolving next year!
Overall, Matt / the bands and everyone involved pulled off a great event and raised money for this serious cause!
